Plowing Day 2016 is set August 29, 2016 Share / Print / Email -FacebookTwitterGooglePinterestPrintEmailDelft Furrowmakers’ Labor Day event an annual tradition “PLOWING DAY” IS just a few days away for the Delft Furrowmakers. The annual celebration – traditionally held on Labor Day – will be held this year on Monday, September 5. The now-harvested wheat field is located the road and to the east of the Baerg Farm on Cottonwood County Road 3. The plowing starts at 1:30 p.m. The Delft Furrowmakers were founded in 1998 and gather every Labor Day to turn the soil with antique tractors and one-, two-, three- and four-bottom plows. The mission of the Delft Furrowmakers is to preserve the history of plowing – as well as the machines that do the work. Pictured above is this year’s T-shirt design.
