. . . To honor veterans for their military service, sacrifice
Representatives from the Mountain Lake Public Elementary School (MLES) Student Council honored military veterans for their service and sacrifice with a visit to the Good Samaritan Society-The Village to distribute “Thank-You” notes to vets living in the facility, as well as visitors who were also members of the service.
The students handed out their words of thanks and appreciation to residents who had served in the military, as well as spouses of military vets, parents of servicemen and women – as well as members of the Mountain Lake American Legion Post Color Guard – Dean Schied, Gerhard Quiring, Bob Minion and Jim Crawford – on hand to present a Veterans Day Program at the facility.
