Good Samaritan of Society Mountain Lake went to the ‘dogs’ to celebrate ‘Dog Day’
Residents, tenants and staff of the Good Samaritan Society of Mountain Lake – The Lodge and The Village – went to the “dogs” on Monday afternoon, August 11 in celebration of an August “Dog Day.”
‘Going to the dogs’ provides so much more above and beyond just spending a few minutes with a furry friend. Dogs have the ability to help calm and soothe individuals – as well as to lift the spirits of those who are sad and lonely, as well as to buoy self-esteem. They also provide a medium for physical touch and activity.
Most importantly, they provide unconditional canine love and acceptance.
