Over 180 Minnesota FFA members gathered for two sessions of the State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders (SLCCL) at Deep Portage Conservation Reserve near Hackensack from July 13-20 to develop leadership skills for their communities and home chapters. The FFA members attending the conference hailed from all corners of the state and represented unique sectors of agriculture, and have been recognized as top leaders in their schools.
Included in that group were four members from the Mountain Lake FFA Chapter – Chanah Brandt, Michaela Cate, Alex Dunker and Sam Xayanourom – as well as Advisor Lindsey Brown.
This leadership conference was made possible with financial contributions from the CHS Foundation, Northland Ford Dealers, Alliance Pipeline and Dr. Curtis Youngs as a special project of the Minnesota FFA Foundation.
