American Red Cross Bloodmobile collects donations in Mountain Lake on Wednesday

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile made a collection stop in Mountain Lake on Wednesday, July 16, setting up shop in the Mountain Lake Community Center – and the donors turned out – providing precious pints of blood for life. In addition, double red blood cell donations were collected.

The Bloodmobile’s next stop in Mountain Lake will be Thursday, November 20, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., also in the Community Center.

AFTER THE PINTS of blood are donated, there is plenty of work to be done with the collection bags and blood sample vials.

IF MOUNTAIN LAKE has a Bloodmobile collection, Dean Schied of Mountain Lake will be there. Schied, who has lived more than nine decades on this Earth and is a World War II survivor, knows the importance of donating blood and always makes sure his provides his pint, knowing his gift will help save lives.
