Events run from Wednesday through Sunday
The 4-H general entry and judging will be held tomorrow (Tuesday, July 15) – but the 2014 Watonwan County Fair days starting running full tilt the following day (Wednesday, July 16) and will continue through Sunday, July 20. Admission to the fair is the purchase of a Fair Button; $5 in advance or $6 at the gate – or – general admission is $3 per day. Gates are open Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Exhibits will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Following is the line-up for the Fair days:
Wednesday, July 16 –
* Enter 4-H rabbits, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
* Enter 4-H and FFA beef, sheep and goats, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
* Creative Arts entries, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
* Rabbit judging, 6:30 p.m.
* NTPA (National Tractor Pullers Association) and UMP (United Pullers of Minnesota) Tractor Pull, 7 p.m., Grandstand. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 12 and under.
* J & K Amusements Midway, $1 nighttime ride special.
Thursday, July 17 –
* Enter FFA crops, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
* Enter poultry and 4-H horses, 8:30 a.m.
* Enter open class crops, 9 a.m.
* Creative Arts entries, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
* Lamb Lead followed by Sheep Show, 10 a.m.
* FFA crop judging, 10 a.m. to noon.
* 4-H/FFA and Open Class Goat Show, 1 p.m.
* Creative Arts judging, 1:30 p.m.
* Poultry/Pigeon Show, 5 p.m.
* 4-H Lamb Lead interviews, 5:30 p.m.
* Bingo, 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
* Horse Game Clinic, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
* 4-H demonstrations in 4-H Exhibit Building, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
* Enter 4-H and FFA dairy and swine, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
* Band in the Beer Garden – “Butch and Friends Karaoke” – 8 p.m. to midnight.
Friday, July 18 –
* Free Tractorcade, 7 a.m.
* 4-H, FFA and Open Class swine judging, 8:30 a.m.
* 4-H Horse Show, 11 a.m.
* 4-H, FFA and Open Class dairy judging, 12:30 p.m.
* Fair Tour – Child Care providers and their kids – 2 p.m.
* Bingo – 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
* 4-H and FFA beef, 6 p.m.
* Hot Foot 2 Antique Tractor Pull, 6 p.m., Grandstand. Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for ages five to 12.
* Ranch Rodeo and Horses Task and Vendor Sale, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
* 4-H demonstrations in 4-H Exhibit Building, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
* Children’s arts and crafts, 7 p.m. to 8:3o p.m.

* Donkey Races, Chicken Races, Mutton Bustin’, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
* Horse-drawn wagon rides, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
* Creative Sweepstakes winners photographs taken, 2 p.m.
* Children’s Arts and Crafts and Scavenger Hunt, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
