Power of growth at Mountain Power

40,000 square foot addition is taking shape

Drivers motoring along Minnesota State Highway #60 at Cottonwood County Road #1 near Mountain Lake can now catch sight of the framework for the 40,000 square foot addition to the current facility of Mountain Power Hydraulics, located at the southeast corner of the intersection of the two roads.

Mountain Power deeded a one-acre parcel in the center of its property to the Economic Development Authority (EDA). The EDA is constructing the addition on that property and has entered into a 15-year lease-to-purchase contract with Mountain Power. In connection to the addition, Mountain Power will be adding 12 jobs.

Bruton Architects and Engineers of North Mankato is the architect for the addition, Wilcon Construction Services of  St. James is the construction contractor, with Salonek Construction, Inc. of Springfield, the authorized builder of the Nucor Building Systems’ custom metal building.
