Kindergarten-through-sixth-grade, along with fifth- and sixth-grade bands, to perform May 23
The Mountain Lake Public School’s Music Department will give its final concert of the year with the Mountain Lake Public Elementary School (MLES) Spring Music Program, on Friday, May 23, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. It will include selections from the kindergarten-through-sixth-grade classes – plus the fifth- and sixth-grade bands.
Many of the songs to be shared have a seasonal theme, including “May Days,” “Spring Thing” and I’d Rather Be Happy.” One of the fifth-grade songs features solos by Anika Klassen and Ernesto Garcia De La Cruz. The fourth-grade will be also be performing a pair of their songs on their recorders. They will join the sixth-grade band on, “Renaissance Rock.”
Directors for the program are Christine Johnson for grades kindergarten-through-five, Andrea Brinkman for grade six and Kurt Jahnke for the fifth- and sixth-grade bands.
The public is invited to attend this finale to the school’s musical year.
