Douglas Uhrhammer

douglas uhrhammerSixty-three-year-old Douglas John Uhrhammer of Big Lake, Minnesota, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 24, 2014. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a future date. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello, Minnesota.

Doug was born in Sherburn, Minnesota on December 2, 1950, the son of Erwin and Amelia (Studer) Uhrhammer. He graduated from Sherburn Public High School in 1969 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After the Arm,y he attended Mankato State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 1974, and a Masters of Arts degree in Urban Studies in 1981. Doug worked in the Economic Development industry most of his life.

Doug is survived by his wife, Marcia Goossen; children Nathan (Julie) Uhrhammer, April (Keith) Scheidt, Will Uhrhammer and his fiancee, Cyerra Hanson; three grandchildren Zakkry, Scott and Anna; a sister Bonnie (David) McLellan; a brother Dan Uhrhammer; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Erwin and Amelia.
