Mountain Ice Rink Warming House is ready for both

First comes the cold. Then comes the ice. The Mountain Lake Ice Rink Warming house is ready for both

The interior work has been completed and is ready for the skaters.

The warming house for the outdoor skating rink, located east of Mountain Lake Public School (MLPS) was set into place rinkside on Friday, July 21, with the interior work completed today (Wednesday, November 29).

Friends of the Pool, using the group’s fundraising reserve funds collected over the years, paid for the purchase and installation of the cottage house. The addition to the rink was approved by both MLPS and the Mountain Lake City Council. The warming house is located on school district property, while the City of Mountain Lake will furnish liability insurance, electricity, necessary equipment and supervision for the rink operations.

The 10′ x 16′ Cottage Pavilion Pro Shed was constructed by Elmendorf Colony of rural Mountain Lake.
