Cobra Wrestling Camp dates set; Gopher, Mustang wrestlers as clinicians

The 2014  Cobra Wrestling Camp is now just one week away – Monday, June 2 through Wednesday, June 4 – and will feature Golden Gopher wrestler Dylan Ness as well as Justin Reinsma, wrestler for the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State University-Marshall. The camp will be held in the Mountain Lake Public High School wrestling room. The camp for wrestlers entering grades 7-12 will run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon the three days, and for wrestlers entering kindergarten-grade six, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The camp cost for high school wrestlers is $40, and for those of elementary-age, $30. The camp includes a free T-shirt.

Ness will be on hand for the first two days of the camp, with Reinsma taking over for the third day.

Ness’ list of wrestling accolades includes:

* Three-time Division 1 NCAA All-American in 2012, 2013 and 2014 (second at 149 lb., fourth at 149 lb. and second at 157 lb.)

 * 2013 Big Ten Wrestling Champion at 149 lb.

* Minnesota State Wrestling Champion in 2010.

* Mr. Minnesota High School Wrestler in 2010.

* Three-time Greco National Champion in 2007, 2008 and 2010.

* Two-time Folkstyle National Champion in 2007 and 2008.

* Freestyle National Champion in 2008.

Reinsma also has a lengthy list of wrestling accomplishments:

* Three-time NCAA Division 2 qualifier.

* Two-time NCAA All-American (seventh and seventh).

* 113 career wins as a Mustang.

* Five-time Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament entrant.

* Three-time Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament place-winner (second, fifth and fifth).
