Season ends for Wolverine volleyball

Drop Section 2A South playoff match to ML/GHEC/T in three games

 

THE 2017 VOLLEYBALL season came to a close tonight (Monday, October 23) for the Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverines, the squad dropping their opening Section 2A South playoff match to Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman (ML/GHEC/T) at Granada in three games. Game scores were tight, 25-20, 25-23, 25-19. The Wolverines had been seeded ninth in the section’s south, facing ML/GHEC/T, the eighth seed. The Jaguars will now play the Section 2A South’s #1-seed, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (WEM) (21-8), in Waterville on Thursday, October 26. The top seed in Section 2A North is the 22-1 squad from Mayer Lutheran. MLA ends the season at 5-19.
