MLC freshman Danica Dick excels at Loyola Junior High Speech Meet

Hooray for Danica Dick of Mt. Lake.  She won first place in storytelling at the Mankato Loyola Jr. High speech meet held on Thursday, March 6th.  She was blessed with the following awesome scores in her three rounds:  1/99 -1/100 - 1/99.  For those who do not know what speech scoring looks like, the top score a competitor can receive in a round is a 1/100.  Katelyn Fast also competed at this tournament in the category of Prose.  Elijah Stoesz was our MLC judge for the event and Cheryl Dick was the team's chaperone for this tournament. MOUNTAIN LAKE CHRISTIAN (MLC) freshman, Danica Dick of Mountain Lake, presented an excellent showing at the Thursday, March 6, Mankato Loyola Junior High Speech Meet. Danica received the first-place medal in Storytelling amassing awesome scores in the meet’s three rounds – 1/00, 1/100 and 1/99 (the top score a competitor can earn in a round is 1/100). Katelyn Fast also competed at the tournament in the category of Prose. Elijah Stoesz was the MLC judge for the event and Cheryl Dick was the team’s chaperone. Speech coach is Kim Friesen. Next up for the junior high “speechies” is a meet at Russell/Tyler/Ruthton on Tuesday, March 18.
