For pre-game Super Bowl 50 MVP?

LCPL Zach Fredericksen is Mountain Lake’s choice

Even before the kick-off of the 50th Super Bowl, Mountain Lake had made its choice for pre-game Super Bowl 50 MVP (Most Valuable Player). That selection was the young man participating in the Armed Forces Color Guard saluting America and the branches of the military during “The National Anthem,” sung by singer-songwriter Lady Gaga.

Nineteen-year-old LCPL Zach Fredericksen of the United States Marine Corps was a member of the rifle guard flanking the colors. LCPL Fredericksen currently serves in Washington, D. C. He is the son of Heather and Jeff Fredericksen of Mountain Lake and a 2014 graduate of Mountain Lake Public High School.

The Armed Forces Color Guard is pulled from the MDW. (Military District of Washington). The joint color guard consists of three United States Army personnel, two United States Marines, one member of the United States Navy, one member of the United States Air Force and one member of the United States Coast Guard.”

As far as who will be the game victor – and the MVP – the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos are playing to decide those issues right now. The 50th Super Bowl is being played in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California (near San Francisco) today (Sunday, February 7). (Update: The Broncos beat the Panthers, 24-10; named the game MVP was Denver’s outside linebacker Von Miller.)

Below are some (attempted) screenshots of the pre-game honors:
