Both MLC Junior High Speech Team entrants earn awards at Marshall Meet

BOTH OF THE entrants the Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) Speech Team sent into competition in a junior hih meet at Marshall Public High School on Tuesday, February 25, came away with awards. Freshman Danica Dick, left, placed second in Storytelling, and another freshman, Katelyn Fast, right, was fourth in Prose. Both young women hail from Mountain Lake. MLC’s speech coach is Kim Friesen. Cheryl Dick was the team’s chaperone, while the Speech Team co-captains, Caitlyn Smith and Elijah Stoesz,  judged entries at the meet.
