Host Eagles defeat MLA in three games

The past 10 days have been a tough part of the season’s schedule for the Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Varsity Volleyball squad, with four of their last five matches on-the-road – facing traditionally tough opponents – and just coming up short on each occasion.
The Lady Wolverines were away at Southwest Christian in Edgerton on Tuesday evening, September 22, and dropped the match to the host Eagles. Scores were 10-25, 16-25 and 16-25.
They are now 4-5 overall on the season, 2-3 in the Red Rock Conference.
Some “home cooking” might be just the thing to provide the “click” as the Maroon-and-Silver return home on Thursday, September 24. They will welcome Hills/Beaver Creek to the Wolverines’ court. On Tuesday, September 29, they are traveling again, this time to Okabena to take on Heron Lake-Okabena.
