Kathy Lynn Johnson passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in Butterfield.

Kathy Lynn Johnson was born January 25, 1986, the daughter of David and Louise (Braaten) Johnson in St. James. Kathy was baptized in the summer of 2000 by Pastor Jeff Boschmann in Butterfield Lake. She accepted the Lord about the same time.

Kathy graduated from Butterfield-Odin Public High School on May 28, 2004. Currently she was working at Bic in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.

Kathy enjoyed camping, spending time with her family and friends, playing games of all sorts – and making things with Grandma Lorraine – from sewing-to-baking. She loved to volunteer with pre-school screening every year. She loved to put together many color combinations for Grandma Lorraine. She captured her memories by taking many pictures.

Kathy is survived by her grandmother Lorraine (Falk) Braaten of St. James; her parents, David and Louise (Braaten) Johnson of Butterfield; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Joe Englkes of Chester, South Dakota; a niece, Kimberly Englkes of Chester; aunts, Eileen (Paul) Keller of Sandpoint, Idaho and Carol (Jim) Anderson of Belgrade, Montana and many great-aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Marland Braaten of St. James; grandmother, Marge Johnson of Sandpoint and aunt, Tammy Leinenweber of St. James.
