Funeral services for 78-year-old Myron Johnson of St. James, Minnesota, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday morning, December 11, 2017, at First Lutheran Church in St. James. The church is located at 716 6th Avenue South.
Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be at the church the day of the funeral service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Myron Johnson passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in his home with his family by his side. He had been fighting cancer for over 20 years.
Myron Jerome Johnson was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, the son of Maurice and Gjetrud Johnson, on September 3, 1939. He graduated in 1957 from Windom High School and went on to pursue a career of 50+ years in banking. He came to First National Bank of St James in 1975, purchased the bank in 1978 and became the sole owner in 1997.
Myron enjoyed spending time with family, relaxing in Okoboji, traveling to Hawaii and being active in his community.
Myron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sherry; two children, Pamela (Johnson) and Joel Wacholz of North Mankato, Minnesota and Mark and Kimberly Johnson of Madelia, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Jamie (Wacholz) and Chris Kollen, Jessica Wacholz, Amber Johnson, Kaelyn Johnson and Maxwell Johnson; his sister, Carol Ihrke of Blair, Nebraska and brother-in-law, Doug Hanefeld of Vancouver, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dean Johnson; brother-in-law, Gene Ihrke and sister-in-law, Sheryl Hanefeld.
