MLES Holiday Program will encompass this concept
The Monday, December 11 Mountain Lake Public Elementary School (MLES) Holiday Program theme of “Let Us Sing Together” will encompass the concept of caroling together.
The evening will kick off at 6:45 p.m. in the school’s auditorium and will feature the kindergarten through grade five choirs, under the direction of MLES Music Teacher Sarah Tailowright; the sixth-grade choir, led by Martha Standerwick, also a MLES Title I Teacher and the fifth- and sixth-grade bands, directed by Mountain Lake Public School Instrumental Director Kurt Jahnke.
During the course of the evening, an array of music will be heard AND sung. Students have been learning various languages in music class this year, learning to sing with all people everywhere, and in the process learning the value of understanding other cultures.
A special treat of the program will be when the guests at the concert combine with the students involved to carol together on some favorite holiday classics.
