“Pint-sized” units of blood donated at an American Red Cross Blood Drive provide a powerful impact helping to help save lives.

Members of the Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS) Student Council hosted the American Red Cross Bloodmobile in the school’s auditorium on Monday, September 18. Student Council co-advisors are Kim Syverson and Jaime Banks.

The American Red Cross collected 32 units, and that included 28 pints from students, three from staff members – and one from a community member.

Following are some of the young donors who took time to help save lives:

SENIOR ALEESHA JEPSEN, right, is prepped for her donation by an American Red Cross phlebotomist, right.

FIRST-TIME DONOR junior Ryan Pedersen is proud of his “red bandage of courage.”

SENIOR EMILEE THEESFELD was another first-time donor “making a difference” at today’s MLHS Student Council-supported Bloodmobile.
