Two stops planned by the rabbit in the city
The Easter Bunny will be hopping down that bunny trail to Mountain Lake this Saturday morning, April 15. The special rabbit will be making two stops in the city.
The bunny’s first visit with children will be during “Muffins With the Bunny,” a Mountain Lake Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) event to be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Mountain Lake Community Center. The free event is geared towards preschool children. Activities will include an Easter Egg-hunting patch, craft projects, muffins and juice. Siblings are welcome with parents and their preschool children. In addition, the Mountain Lake Early Childhood Initiative (ECI) will be distributing a free book to each family.
Following that stop, the Easter Bunny will hop on over to Mountain Lake City Park fro the annual Mountain Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt will begin at 10 a.m. sharp! Make sure not to be late or the hunt and the opportunity to chat and grab a photo op with the Easter Bunny will be over. The egg and candy hunt is for children from 0-10 years of age. The park will be divided into three sections – 0-to-4-years-old, 5-to-7-years-old and 8-to-10-years-old. The young participants will be on the hunt for over 2,000 plastic, candy-filled eggs – along with plenty of extra candy scattered on the ground and some the eggs will contain special coupons from local businesses.
