Celebration of Life services for 57-year-old Stanlely “Stan the Man” Dean Schroeder of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake. The church is located at 1418 2nd Avenue.
Burial will be in Mountain Lake City Cemetery, located at 10th Street North at Midway Road.
Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, March 20, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and again at the church the day of the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Stan Schroeder passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, surrounded by his family.
Stanley “Stan” Schroeder was born on May 26, 1959, in Mountain Lake, the son of Robert “Bob” and Glendeen “Glennie” (Harms) Schroeder. Stan was dedicated and baptized at Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake. He graduated from Mountain Lake High School and was united in marriage to Monica Oeltjenbruns on January 16, 1982, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake.
Stan worked as an Insurance Agent for American Family Insurance for the past 23 years. He was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. where he had served as head usher, president, Sunday School teacher, elder and various other church boards.
Stan enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, grilling, being with friends and watching his boys play/coach various sports. He served on the Mountain Lake Golf Board, on the Mountain Lake Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years and loved working at the baseball field in Mountain Lake. His father, Bob,helped to get the baseball field built in the early ’80’s and Stan put a lot of time into getting it going again in the early 2000’s. He loved being a grandpa to his four grandkids and was the favorite “funcle” to many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by mother, Glennie of Mountain Lake; wife Monica of Mountain Lake; sons, Adam and wife, Sam and their, children Declan and Zaiden; Mitchell and wife, Erica and their children, Mikaya and Kennedy and Kyle and special friend, Ashley Kroeger; brother, Steve (Sandy) Schroeder and sisters, Patricia (Phil) Hooge, Joyce Tewes and Marlene (Mike) Emmert.
He was preceded in death by father, Robert; brother-in-law, Mike Tewes and nephew Zachary Adrian.
