Watonwan, Cottonwood clubs well-represented with highest honors at 2016 Minnesota State Fair
A number of 4-H Club members from Watonwan County and Cottonwood County well-represented this area at athe 2016 Minnesota State Fair, receiving highest honors – Purple Ribbon, Grand Champion, Champion and Reserve Champion.

LIANA BLOMGREN RECEIVED Champion Overall Pigeon and Advanced Showmanship Winner – along with a Purple Ribbon.
RYAN BLOMGREN WAS recognized with a Purple Ribbon – and Champion Young Bird Fancy Pigeon.
WATONWAN COUNTY DAIRY Judges earning Purple Ribbons were Seth Pierson, left, in the Intermediate Division and Lukas Pierson, right, in the Senior Division. Both were also Interview Winners, Lukas in Holstein, Grade – Aged Cow, Five Years and Older and Seth in Holstein, Registered – Winter Senior Yearling.
LUKAS PIERSON WAS presented sixth in the Minnesota 4-H Dairy Showcase.
SETH PIERSON RECEIVED a seventh-place monetary award in the Minnesota 4-H Dairy Showcase.
BRIANNA RINGEN EARNED a Purple Ribbon in Crop Sciences Grades 9+, Small Grains and Legumes (Wheat).
LUKAS PIERSON WAS awarded a Purple Ribbon in Citizenship for Grades 9+.

Cottonwood County 4-H Purple Ribbon Winners at the 2016 Minnesota State Fair
PURPLE RIBBON WINNER Melanie Adrian with her 2nd-Place Lightweight Black Face Market Lamb.
HUNTER DAHNA EARNED a Purple Ribbon and 3rd-Place with his White Face Market Lamb.
MEGAN WIEBE WAS Champion Market Lamb Showperson and Senior Showmanship Market Lamb Medallion Winner in Market Lamb Intermediate Showmanship.
MEGAN WIEBE ALSO received Champion Market Lamb Showperson Senior Division, was named Middleweight Market Lamb, along with a Purple Ribbon.
MATTHEW WIEBE WAS named Champion Market Lamb Showperson Intermediate Division and Reserve Champion Heavyweight Market Lamb.
ADDITIONALLY, MATTHEW WIEBE received a Purple Ribbon for his Lightweight Black Face Market Lamb.
BRYCE ADRIAN WAS awarded a Purple Ribbon and Reserve Champion Speckled Face Market Lamb.
IN DIVISION II Crossbred Barrow, Ryan Franz was awarded Grand Champion Market Barrow, along with Champion Middleweight Barrow, Champion Market Barrow and Champion in Senior Division Showpersonship.
TAYLER FRANZ WAS presented Champion Spot Barrow.
