Resignation took effect Thursday, April 21
According to an article in the St. James Plaindealer, the Butterfield City Council accepted the resignation of Council Member Doug Meyer at a special meeting held on Thursday, April 21. Meyer had submitted his letter of resignation a week earlier.
Following the resignation, the short-term future of the council seat is up in the air.
