Ten Thousand Villages, Care & Share Shop, Sweet Fields to hold special event
The “three-shops-in-one” of Ten Thousand Villages, the Care & Share Shop and Sweet Fields will be celebrating with a “Spirit of the Season Event” – featuring shopping, music, food and fun – on Friday, November 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, November 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On the two days of the event, Ten Thousand Villages will be holding a “bag sale,” with 25% off the merchandise that will fit in the bag provided.
Christmas goodies will be available throughout both days.
Sweet Fields will be serving up a soup and sandwich supper special on Friday, November 20 from 5 p.m. 7 p.m. The menu will feature three soups – tomato tortellini, maple squash and chili – for $4, while a choice of soup and one of two sandwich options – Pennsylvania Dutch sandwich or pork barbeque sandwich – is $5.50. In addition, special music will be provided by local musicians, Mountain Lake guitarist Steve Klassen and Odin area violinist Vicki Beckendorf. Patrons are encouraged to enjoy lunch – with daily specials – on Monday through Saturday. In addition, holiday baking orders are now being taken at Sweet Fields.
As well, donations for the local Loaves & Fishes Food Shelf are being accepted through Saturday, November 21.
A special holiday offering is the chance to cut one’s own live Christmas tree. Proceeds from the sales of the trees will go to support the Care & Share Shop. Ask Joyce Bucklin for details.
Consumers are also encouraged to visit the Ten Thousand Villages kiosk in River Hills Mall in Mankato.
