Alliance Church to hold event this Saturday
The Alliance Church of Mountain Lake will be holding a special event for children on Saturday, October 31, running from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the church gym under the theme – “Be a Spark in the Dark.”
This is a non-costume event open to children up through 6th-grade and their families. There is no fee for entry, but 10 additional game tickets can be purchased for $1.
All children will receive a bag filled with favors – and 10 tickets to be used on the games. Activities will include multiple carnival games and prizes, an inflatable bounce house, “Minute-to-Win-it”-style competitions and pudding eating contests.
Volunteers will be face painting, helping decorate sugar cookies and interacting with the kids.
Children will be given the opportunity to join in a Bible storytelling time with Candice Bartel, at which time they will have the opportunity earn more tickets to play more games.
A chili supper will also be available for a free will offering.
Event organizers are also supporting the Operation Christmas Child ministry and will give an additional 10-pack of tickets to children or families bringing items to contribute to a shoebox (like school supplies, personal hygiene items or small toys).
