Edna M. Haffner, age 73, of Mountain Lake, Minnesota was called home on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society -The Village in Mountain Lake.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p,.m. at the Good Samaritan Village Chapel and will continue on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. James, Minnesota.
Service will be held at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. James, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
The clergy will be Reverend Matthew Natsis.
Interment will be at the Butterfield City Cemetery in Butterfield, Minnesota.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain Lake.

Edna Mae Haffner was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 4, 1941 to Adolf and Martha (Klaymeier) Munning. Edna grew up in Brooklyn, and in 1953 briefly lived in St. Petersburg, Florida before returning to Brooklyn to complete high school. In 1960, she was married and later was blessed with two daughters – Martha and Elizabeth. After the birth of her children, she stayed at home to care for them.
As her children grew older, Edna returned to work as a file clerk,working with American Express and Wilson & Jones Co. In 1977 she moved to Butterfield, where she made her home until 2006 when her declining health brought her to the Good Samaritan Village until her passing.
Edna loved the outdoors and enjoyed watching the fish in the pond outside. She also served as the president of the Resident Counsel of Good Samaritan Village for six years.
Edna is survived by daughters, Martha (Leon) Wollschlager of Mountain Lake and Elizabeth (Jesus “Jesse”) Ibarra of Valrico, Florida; brother, Robert (Jan) Munning of Windom, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Jessica Gonzalez, Brenda Lugo, Anthony Ibarra, Lisa Lugo, Leon Wollschlager Jr, Adrianna Ibarra, Desiree Wollschlager, and Alexis Ibarra; 15 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Munning and sister-in-law, Pat Munning.
