‘Hats Off to You; Feeling Good, Looking Good and Doing Good!’
Area women are invited to attend this fall’s Ladies Night Out in Mountain Lake next Thursday, September 25 – and to come sporting a “head topper” that best describes the person you are.
The theme for the night will be “Hats Off to You, Girls; Feeling Good, Looking Good and Doing Good!”
In addition to special perks and specials in downtown businesses, a pair of local women will be opening their homes to display either their talent, or a unique collection.
Between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., stop in and see:
* Mary Gohr in her home at 1419 4th Avenue and check out Mary’s skill on her embroidery machine.
* Eileen Thiessen at 705 9th Street – and her 75-count hat collection. (It is rare to catch Eileen WITHOUT a hat.)
Businesses with featured activities until 6:30 p.m. include:
*10th Street Pickers – Live music (it’s polka time), cold drinks and collectibles to check out.
* Mountain Lake Floral – Jewelry display by Eileen, Nerium products presented by Julie and in-store special.
* Mountain Lake Antiques on Third Avenue – Check out the vintage items.
* Peterson Thrifty White Drug and Gifts – Specials for the ladies out for the night.
* Maynard’s Food Center – Daily specials for the ladies and their families.
* The Matchless Gifts – Items on sale expressly for the event.
* Care & Share/10,000 Villages – Discounts on new merchandise.
At 6:30 p.m., gather at Sweet Fields for a night out meal served by Norm and Sue. The menu will be croissant sandwich, chips, pluma moos, beverage/coffee and dessert.
And at 7 p.m., its style show time, featuring models comprised off Mountain Lake ladies.
There will also be door prizes, such as for Best Model, Lady Styling the Hat – and more.
The cost is $10 per lady, and tickets are available at Care & Share.
