2014 MLHS Homecoming coronation next Saturday, week of activities to follow

“All Roads Lead Home” is the theme that will be taken into the 2014 Mountain Lake Public High School’s (MLHS) Homecoming coronation next Saturday, September 20, and be carried into the following week with plenty of in-school and extracurricular activities on tap.

The 2014 Queen and King will be crowned next Saturday in the school’s auditorium, with the coronation ceremony kicking off at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Also presented will be the male and female class attendants, as selected by their classmates.

Throughout the week (September 22- 26) will be specially-designated dress-up days, COTY (Class Of The Year) competitions and other events, along with extra-curricular sporting events. The Mountain Lake Area (MLA) volleyball team will have two matches during the week, hosting Ellsworth on Tuesday, September 23 and then traveling to Westbrook to take on Westbrook/Walnut Grove on Thursday, September 25, with 5 p.m. the serve-up time on both days, beginning with the “C” Squad, followed by “B” Squad and then the Varsity. Cross country runners will have a Tuesday, September 23 meet, running at the St. James Invitational. The MLA Wolverines’ Homecoming football came on September 26 will feature Cleveland coming to town. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
