“PLOWING DAY” IS just a few days away for the Delft Furrowmakers. The annual celebration – held on Labor Day – will be held this year on Monday, September 1. The field is located a little over one mile east of Highway #71 on Cottonwood County Road #3 – on the southeast side of the Baerg Farm. The plowing starts at 1 p.m. The Delft Furrowmakers were founded in 1998 and gather every Labor Day to turn the soil with antique tractors and plows. The mission of the Delft Furrowmakers is to preserve the history of plowing – as well as the machines that do the work.
