2014 Community Appreciation Day salutes local law enforcement, emergency service units

The 2014 Community Appreciation Day, hosted by the Community Bible Church of Mountain Lake, featured a salute to local law enforcement and emergency service units – the Mountain Lake Police Department, Mountain Lake Fire Department and the Mountain Lake Ambulance Squad.

Special activities included a pair of a jumping castles, tractor rides, local musical talent – and the opportunity to personally say “Hello” and “Thank you” to police, ambulance and fire personnel. A free family picnic barbecue of hot dogs, beans, chips, cold drink and ice cream was also a part of the event. As well, a “Program of Honor” officially recognizing law enforcement and emergency personnel came near the conclusion of appreciation activities.
