Usher in spring with ‘strings’ and ‘brass’

Lakeview Gospel to host afternoon with ‘Great Plains String Quaret,’ ‘Worthington Bass Quintet’ on March 16

The Lakeview Gospel Church in Mountain Lake will be the host site for an afternoon ushering in spring with plenty of “strings” and “brass.”

Performing for the afternoon outing – “Classy Classics and More” – on Sunday, March 16, beginning at 3 p.m., will be the “Great Plains String Quartet,” along with the “Worthington Brass Quintet.” Two members of the Worthington brass group are Ed Berger of Mountain Lake on trumpet and a native of Mountain Lake, currently of Worthington, Shirley Rempel on trombone (pictured below in the photograph of the group in the back row, Rempel in the center, and Berger at right.

All are welcome tot attend.

A free-will offering will be taken to be presented to an a yet-to-be-determined local charity organization.

The church is located at 1002 10th Street North (by Mountain Lake and Mountain Lake City Cemetery).
