Funeral services for 67-year-old Joanne (Gotto) Wolle of St. James, Minnesota, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday afternoon, April 4 in the East Sveadahl Lutheran Church of St. James, located at 30187 710th Avenue. Interment will be in the church cemetery, located by the church. The Reverend Kathleen Ulland-Klinkner officiating.
The first visitation will be Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James, located at 906 10th Avenue South. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Joanne Marie Gotto was born on March 18, 1947, in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Karpac) Gotto. She grew up in Elizabeth where she attended Catholic school through the eighth grade and then graduated from public school.
Joanne was married in 1969 and later divorced. She lived in Redwood Falls, Minnesota for a short time before moving to St. James. She raised her family in St. James. She enjoyed tending to a large garden which included vegetables, fruits and beautiful flowers. She also loved to cook and be involved with her children as they grew up. She loved spending time with her children and later her grandchildren.
Joanne is survived by her children, Bev Lenning of St. James, John (Kristi) Wolle of New Ulm, Minnesota and Chad Wolle and special friend Maranda Wright of Mankato, Mankato; her grandchildren, Mercedes Lenning, Nicholas Wolle, Mason Lenning and Noah Woll;, brothers, Donald (Pat) Gotto of Donora, Pennsylvania, Richard Gotto of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania and a niece and nephew, Randy and LeeAnna both of Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
