Funeral service for Susan Pauline Larson, 58, of Springfield, Minnesota, will be held Thursday afternoon, February 6, 2014, at 1 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. The church is located at 303 North Cass Avenue. The officiating clergy will be Pastor Mark Luther Johnson. Interment will be in Springfield City Cemetery, located on Brown County Road #24
Visitation will be at the church the day of the funeral from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sturm Funeral Home of Springfield is handling the arrangements.
Susan Larson passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014.
Susan Pauline Larson was born on March 3, 1955, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the age of 17 months, she was placed into the loving arms of Gordon and Elaine Larson. Susan was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook, Minnesota and graduated from Westbrook Public High School in May 1974.
Susan was a nursing assistant, working in Westbrook, Windom, Mountain Lake and Springfield. She had many hobbies that included jigsaw and Sudoku puzzles, cross-stitching, vegetable and flower gardening and reading. Susan especially liked reading about the Amish way of life. Her favorite television shows were “I Love Lucy” and “Criminal Minds.”
Susan leaves behind the love of her life for the last 39 years, Vernon “Bing” Tordsen; her sister, Linda Bergs; nephew, Carl Bergs; niece and Goddaughter, Chandra (Duane) Rothstein and their children, Maralaine and Callan.
Preceding her in death were her parents Gordon and Elaine Larson.
