Annual week culminates with events at girls, boys home basketball games
The fifth-annual participation of the Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverine girls and boys basketball teams with Coaches-versus-Cancer events will be held Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31. The program is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. This now traditional winter sports season activity is held as part of a fund-raising effort in the fight to help eradicate cancer.
Preceding the two game days of activities will be “Suits-N-Sneakers Week,” running from Monday, January 27 through Friday, January 31. Throughout the week, faculty and staff at both Mountain Lake Public and Mountain Lake Christian can “buy” their way to comfort by donating $25 to the American Cancer Society, securing them the right to dress in jeans and sneakers the entire week.
