Tamara “Tammy” Hall was born on September 19, 1963 in Lakefield, the daughter of Leonard and Patricia (Rue) Olson. She was baptized at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakefield and was later confirmed in that same church. Tammy received her early education at Pleasantview Elementary School in Lakefield and then Lakefield Public High School. She then attended American College.
On September 23, 1978, she married Mark Hall in Tea, South Dakota, and their marriage was blessed with three children, Justin, Tyann and Derick. For many years, Tammy worked at Hardees in Windom and then, in 1998, she began to work for Joanne Cowan at State Farm Insurance in Windom. In 2006, Joanne retired and Tammy became the owner of Tammy Hall State Farm in Windom up to the present time.
Tammy was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2010, and fought the disease courageously until passing away at her home in rural Windom with her family at her bedside.
She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom; co-founder of the Local Breast Health Fund; member of the Windom Chamber of Commerce and the Windom Country Club, where she was board president and member; and president and co-founder of the Team Member Hall of Fame. Tammy’s enjoyments included golfing with Mary, Sherry and Bonnie; four-wheeling with Mark and the Clarks; fishing; boating; camping and spending time with her team from State Farm, along with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh and smile, and her upbeat, loving and caring personality.
