Jack Dalton

jack daltonFuneral services for 54-year-old Jack D. Dalton of Windom will be held Tuesday morning, February 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Windom, located at 409 11th Street. Visitation will be at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. LaCanne Funeral Home of Windom is handling the funeral arrangements.

Jack David Dalton was born on April 5, 1959, in Peoria, Illinois to C. Jack and Norma (Newell) Dalton. He received his education from Toulon Public High School in Toulon, Illinois. After high school, Jack enlisted in the United States Marines. Jack worked at AGCO in Jackson as a welder for many years. In 2007, Jack was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

He was a member of the Windom Evangelical Free Church and enjoyed fishing, repairing computers, reading and playing video games with his nephew.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Dalton of Mountain Lake; four siblings, Lynda (Jerry) Young of Washington, Illinois; Ron (Kristie) Dalton of Mountain Lake, Minnesota; Mike Dalton of Fulda, Minnesota and Wendy (Frank) Johnson of Avoca, Minnesota; and nieces and nephews, Brandon, Libby, Casey, Ben, Laura and Kyle; great-nephew, Elijah and great-niece, Imogen.

Preceding him in death were his father, Carter “Jack” Dalton and brother, Joel Dalton.
