The 2015 Summer Reading Program at Mountain Lake Public Library – Read to the Rhythm – is underway, but the official kick-off event will be Wednesday, June 10 when The Zoo Man comes to the library. The summer reading program is for young readers from preschool age-to-sixth grade.

Following is the rundown of the library’s summertime events – in addition to reading for fun, learning and prizes – and remember, all ages are invited, but preschool-aged children must be accompanied by a parent of guardian:

* Wednesday, June 10, 2 p.m., The Zoo Man.

* Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16 – Pow Wow; Library is closed.

* Monday, June 17, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Make & Take Craft Table.

* Monday, June 22, 1 p.m., Minnesota’s favorite magician – Brodini – and his Comedy Magic Show.

* Wednesday, June 24, 1 p.m. to  3 p.m., Make & Take Craft Table.

* Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, Fourth of July; Library is closed.

* Wednesday, July 8, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m, Make & Take Craft Table.

* Wednesday, July 15, 2 p.m., Mr. Twister and his Super Balloon Show = balloons, magic and fun for all ages. NO CRAFT TABLE.

* Tuesday, July 21, 1 p.m., Library Game Day (event is for young readers who have completed kindergarten and older; no preschoolers please).

* Wednesday, July 22, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Make & Take Craft Table.

These summer reading program activities are funded by Mountain Lake Public Library and Friends of the Mountain Lake Public Library.
